The History and Possible Futures of Folkestone Gas Works

Presented by Pioneering Places East Kent: Folkestone, the full exhibition is displayed across three sites in Folkestone and explores the history and possible futures of the Ship Street Gasworks. At Folkestone Museum they tell the story of Foord, from rural village to the railway and industrialisation, with much of the content contributed by local residents.

Pioneering Places East Kent is part of the national Great Place Scheme, an ambitious project that will make East Kent an even better place to live, work and visit by exploring heritage, developing civic pride and connecting artists and communities.

The other sites include Sunflower House and Urban Room. For more information please click here
